Health & Safety Risk Assessment
Our Health & Safety Risk Assessment involves a process of identifying hazards, evaluating risks and suggesting potential ways to control or eliminate those hazards during daily tasks and activities. This also involves applying control measures to make sure your people and any visitors to your site are safe. Ultimately, you have to decide what might cause harm to people and take reasonable steps to prevent that harm.
If you employ over five people, you must keep a written record of all of your assessments. If you don’t, you could face a fine or even prosecution.
The assessment covers many aspects and will look at your compliancy on areas such as Water Hygiene, Asbestos, Electrical Installation, COSHH, Control of Contractors and many other areas including working at heights and safety of any roofs. Our General Health & Safety Risk Assessment will provide you with a comprehensive health check and action plan.
We offer this service at a wide range of multi-tenanted commercial property types, including Offices, Shopping Centres, Retail and Industrial parks, and mixed use Leisure developments. These can be especially useful where the site does not have permanent staff based on site.

Any hazards identified during an inspection that are deemed to be of a serious nature are reported to you directly from site on the day of the inspection (e.g. blocked escape routes, security breaches, large build-ups of combustibles, exposed live electrics).

Our Process
Assess
To assist in your understanding of health and safety requirements, we will identify hazards on site and, for each one, we will determine how well we believe you are currently complying with health and safety standards through observation, evaluation of documentation and discussion.
Validate
For quality assurance, RM has a two stage validation process for each and every audit that is published. First the report is verified by the assessor that carried out the assessment, and secondly the respective Department Head reviews and validates the report before publishing to the client.
Report
To help you to actively manage your risks, RM publishes all of its assessment reports to BLOCK7 where, amongst other things, you will be able to view and download static and dynamic PDF reports. In addition, you can view and search risks according to the categorisation of Intolerable, Substantial and Moderate, or Monitor & Review with Traffic Light methodology.
